The Story:In 2300 BC a nation in Eastern Mediterranean expected an enamy to lay siege to thier walled city.

They picked the greenheads of their wheat and stored them to fight starvation.The green wheat caught fire and the outside burnt,however when the people rubbed the heads of wheat,delicious green grains were exposed which they called "freekeh". In the ancient Aramaic language freekeh means 'the rubbed one'.
